Capital Projects

Pilot and Full-Scale Technology Development and Demonstration Projects. Since 2008, BCBN has invested $15 million in 17 projects, representing a total project value of $110 million. This financial support ranges from grants, to loans, to private equity.

Capacity Building Projects

BCBN has supported several strategic capacity building initiatives in specific areas of bioenergy development, including forest biomass residues, agriculture residuals, and municipal waste.

Education and Advocacy Services

BCBN takes an active role in developing the bioenergy and bio-economy sectors through education, knowledge sharing and advocacy. Between 2008 and 2013, BCBN sponsored 43 conferences and workshop events in BC, contributing $233,000 in direct financial support. BCBN has also helped attract major world-class events to BC, including the March 2013 Global Methane Initiative Expo.
