Biogas Conditioning

Biogas Reheater

Reheat biogas: Digester produced biogas is 100% water saturated. The naturally cooling biogas, moving from the digester to the engine, will release large amounts of water into the gas pipework system, which has the potential to block pipework and damage mechanical plant.

Biogas Dehumidifier

Digester produced biogas is 100% water saturated. The naturally cooling biogas, moving from the digester to the point of use will release large amounts of water into the gas pipework system. This has the potential to corrode pipework and damage mechanical plant. A standard biogas dehumidifier consists of 2 tube heat exchangers. Including a biogas to biogas heat exchanger for biogas reheating, and, a cold water to biogas heat exchanger for biogas cooling. Cold water is provided by an industrial grade chiller and the heat exchangers are manufactured in 316 Stainless Steel. The relative humidity of the biogas is set by using the inlet biogas temperature to reheat the cooled exit biogas. If the incoming biogas is not hot enough to provide this heat exchange then hot water is used.

Biogas Upgrading

Biogas - Biomethane Heating & Cooling Systems

Before biomenthane is injected into the national grid it needs to be at a certain temperature and pressure. Cooling or heating biomethane is achieved by using a tube shell heat exchanger. We can also include high pressure reduction into these systems. We supply hot water pump skids that pick up waste hot water heat and transfers it to the biomethane. An electric immersion heater is provided as a secondary standby heat source. If cooling is required then this can be incorporated into the system using industrial grade water chillers.

Biogas Storage

Biogas - Double Membrane Biogas Holder

A stand-alone membrane biogas holder is the most flexible, economical, reliable and efficient biogas storage solution available on the market. The membrane biogas holder consists of 3no separate pvc membranes, an outer air membrane, an internal gas membrane and floor membrane. The area between the inner and outer membranes is continually pressurised with air using air blowers. The air inflates the outer membrane providing structural rigidity and an adjustable system pressure.

Double Membrane Biogas Dome

Our pvc double membrane biogas dome is suitable for all new or refurbished steel or concrete digester tanks whatever their shape or size. The domes are a very economical solution and can be installed quickly and easily. We recommend that a centre post net support system is used which ensures that the membranes cannot deflate into the contents of the digester.

Membrane Biogas Cover

We have developed single pvc membrane ‘insulated’ gas collection covers (biogas cover) for circular or rectangular digester tanks. These covers are bolted to a steel support frame and are easily removeable for access into the tank. A matrix of ropes fastened to the support frame stop the cover from falling into the digester contents.
