Designing a great air inlet is all about attention to acoustics and pressure drop. Our experienced staff of acoustical engineers employs the most modern software to provide compliant designs. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), as well as, Finite Modeling, Thermal, Buckling and Vibration Frequency Analysis are applied to guarantee superior pressure drop, distribution and velocities.

Braden has designed and manufactured diverter isolators since 1985. The bulk of our diverter experience is in combined-cycle gas turbine power plants, where extreme and sudden thermal changes necessitate thorough design foresight. We have also designed diverters for desulfurization (FGD) applications with several unique and patented features for improved flow distribution.

Braden has developed Exhaust Diffusers and Exhaust Plenums for most OEM and retrofit applications. Our Exhaust Diffusers are designed very carefully using a proven, confident approach to the floating internal liner system. Because this area is so turbulent, we take extra care in our design to insure high reliability and our history shows no failures. With over 1000+ in operation, we have perfected the internally lined systems, and have also patented the transition from the unlined turbine flange (or externally lined), to the internally lined diffuser. In addition, our Diffuser designs offer every possible shipping configuration to minimize shipping cost and reduce field welding/erection time.

Braden Exhaust Expansion Joints provide a point of flexibility in the Exhaust ducts and relieve stress caused by system movement. Expansion joints are an important part of the ductwork since they prevent strain on the structure when it expands by yielding or providing a coupling for parts of the structure.

Braden’s extensive simple cycle exhaust experience provides an excellent foundation for simple cycle SCR/CO exhaust systems. For over forty years, Braden has specialized in handling the rigorous requirements of simple cycle exhaust systems. In that time, Braden has developed a skill set essential in providing quality SCR/CO systems. The high temperatures and turbulent flows of simple cycle machines require sound engineering design of internal structural members, which Braden has mastered with more than 1,500 simple cycle exhaust projects.
