Bruest Catalytic Heaters products
Bruest - Pressure Reduction Station
While natural gas is normally transmitted in pipelines at pressures up to 1400 PSIG, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is normally stored in pressure vessels up to 3600 PSIG. For CNG to be usable, it must be decompressed or ‘let down’ to a more manageable pressure. This is a crucial part of the CNG PRS (Pressure Reduction System) process. Due to the Joules Thompson Effect, where gas temperature will drop when the pressure drops, this letdown of pressure means heat must be put back into the gas stream to prevent freezing of sensitive instruments and pipelines. Each of Bruest’s LD series CNG Let Down Systems begins with Bruest’s proven catalytic heaters. These heaters are rated for operation in Class I Division 1 or Division 2 locations. Furthermore, as catalytic heaters have virtually zero emissions, the LD series letdown stations are not only safe but environmentally friendly.
Bruest - Catalytic Heaters
Bruest Catalytic Heaters are designed for safety, efficiency, and ease of use in mind. The heaters are offered in multiple sizes, BTU ratings, and configurations to meet varying application requirements. All Bruest Catalytic Heaters are available for installation in Class I, Division 1 or 2, Group D locations. ATEX certifications for Group II, Categories 2 or 3, Hazard G locations are available.
Bruest HOTCAT - Natural Gas Line Heaters
Bruest HOTCAT natural gas line heaters uses Bruest’s catalytic heater panels as the heat source. The catalytic heater panels convert the fuel gas to CO2, water vapor, and infrared heat with virtually no NOx in the process. The process begins by preheating of the catalyst with electric power. Electric power is required for 20 to 30 minutes per zone during the startup process. Once the catalyst has been preheated, the fuel gas can be introduced to complete the startup process. The HOTCATs are offered with either manual or automated control system to suit different application requirements.
Bruest - Pilot Gas Heaters
Bruest Catalytic Heaters’ Freez-Fiters pilot gas heaters safely and effectively heat low volumes of gas used by pilot regulators and instruments. The gas travels through the heat exchange coil to be heated by the infrared heat. The heater’s gas train includes all the necessary instruments to operate. Optional temperature controller allows the heater to modulate the heat output to fit the demand of the application. The dual coil option adds a second heat exchange coil. This secondary coil can either be used to supply gas to a second pilot regulator or be used in series with the primary coil. Custom configurations allow the Freez-Fiter pilot gas heater to be used in wide ranging applications.
