During the BTA^® Process thorough mixing is ensured by blowing compressed biogas into the fermenter. After condensate separation the biogas generated is compressed up to the required pressure by  a rotary compressor and blown into the suspension at the bottom of the fermenter through gas lances. Thus, a convection current is set up, which rises in the centre of the fermenter, moves outward at the suspension surface, and descends along the tank walls.
