Cain Industries - Exhaust Steam Generator
The fully packaged ESG1 is selected from 48 pre-engineered standard models with output capabilities of 20 to 500 boiler hp and operating steam pressures from 3 to 450 psig. The ESG1 is shipped complete, ready for operation as either a primary or supplemental steam source.
Cain Industries - Heat Recovery Silencer - Radial
The HRSR Series is designed to receive total liquid flow, reduce gas temperatures to desired levels, and lower exhaust noise reducing the need for a muffler. The modulating exhaust bypass assembly will allow the tempering of exit temperatures to achieve optimal heat recovery. The radial design allows finned tube access for cleaning and inspection. A single row of finned tubing with optional removable Swagelok compression fittings, provides maximum thermal efficiency and easy access for cleaning, inspection or replacement. The HRSR is engineered for vertical or horizontal operation, combustion capacity up to 4000kW, and entering gas temperature up to 1,250°F to match the needs of your specific application.
Cain Industries - Heat Recovery Silencer - Axial
The HRSA Series waste heat recovery silencers are compact cylindrical heat exchangers designed for either dual or single exhaust small engines (15 -150 kW). In addition to lowering exhaust noise, the unique coil-type configuration and optional circulating pump allow for a secondary circulating liquid flow system. The 1” NPT interconnecting piping, within a main liquid flow loop, provides for simple and less costly piping modifications. HRSA models are available to accommodate entering gas temperatures from 400°F up to 1,600°F. The required heat transfer surface, coupled with a small diversion of the main flow, adequately recovers desired BTU/hr which lowers the outlet gas temperature below 250°F as required. The optional internal stainless gas bypass also allows tempering of the exit temperature if required.
Cain Industries - U-Tube Recovery System
The UTR Series is applied when both a compact rectangular configuration and maximum heat transfer surface/performance is critical. The variety of model sizes allow the UTR to be located within the gen-set housing to meet critical space limitations. Flexible exhaust gas connection locations and sizes also allow the UTR to adapt easily to an OEM packager’s design needs. The capability of removing the core assembly without disturbing the exhaust gas connections, makes cleaning and inspecting the finned tubing fast and efficient. This is especially important when operating with fuel oil types which can foul the heating surface and require a periodic maintenance schedule.
Cain Industries - U-Tube Recovery Unit
The UTR1 Parallel Flow is applied where a specific heat transfer requirement is needed at very high liquid flows, and square or rectangular stacks along with confined area restrictions have to be addressed. The UTR1 is offered in stainless, carbon, or Al-Fuse fin tubing with bare tube thru 8 fins per inch spacing selection flexibility. With over 100 different face areas available, unlimited rows deep, many possible selections adapt easily to the design needs. The capability of quickly removing fin tube rows or core assemblies from the shell, without disturbing the exhaust gas connections, reduces down time and allows for easy periodic inspection and cleaning as required.

Boiler Economizer Systems
Cain Industries offers an extensive selection of boiler economizers specifically designed to recover BTU exiting the exhaust stack and transfer it back into a desired heat sink. Our broad line of economizers cover the spectrum of boiler sizes, ranging from very small hot water boilers with burner inputs of 200,000 BTU/hr to large boilers delivering steam at 250,000 lb/hr. Cain also produces boiler feedwater systems, condensate tank and pump systems, exclusive sootblower assemblies and unique modulating internal exhaust gas bypass systems.

Exhaust Steam Generator Industrial Combustion
The ESG (Exhaust Steam Generator) is an unfired fully automatic, skid mounted packaged steam generator combining a finned tubing heat transfer section, steam flash circulating drum assembly, and full exhaust bypass. Where low or high pressure steam output demand is a necessity, the ESG in terms of recovered BTU/hr and its use, is a more valuable alternate selection to liquid or air preheat exchangers. The design allows for flexibility in heat transfer (explosion proof) output, lightweight design and compactness for lower installation costs, and will offer the greatest thermal efficiency.
