Carnegie EMC - Utility Solar
Carnegie will be a generator and supplier of power through the development and operation of utility scale solar power stations. The first station has been constructed in Ballardong Noongar Boodja (country) in Northam, Western Australia. The 10MW Northam Solar Farm consists of 33,600 solar panels over 25 hectares. The solar farm will provide renewable, sustainable, zero emission, electricity, powered by Western Australia’s Wheatbelt sunshine. The solar farm will deliver enough energy to power approximately 4,000 households (24,000 MWh) every year for the life of the project, and will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 17,000 tonnes per year – the equivalent of taking 3,500 cars off the road.

Carnegie - Commercial Scale Unit
The CETO 6 design builds on the experience gained in all previous CETO generations and incorporates some important improvements. The diameter of the buoyant actuator has the most significant influence on power output and has been increased to approximately 20m from the 7m diameter 80kW unit successfully tested at the Garden Island site in 2011 and the most recent 11m diameter, 240kW units tested in 2015 at the same site.

Carnegie’s solar systems can be designed and built, battery ready. Before connecting a new site to the grid, we can provide an estimate of the potential savings to be made from remaining grid independent by using our stand-alone power systems to receive a more reliable, consistent energy supply.
