Low Pressure Die Casting
Low-pressure die casting (LPDC) has become a popular process in today's foundries. Melted metal is slowly poured into the die to reduce turbulence. Wheels, suspension, steering, and engine components are all automotive applications. Pipe benders and bellhousings are examples of non-automotive components that can be made using the LPDC method. LPDC produces castings of very high metallurgical standards.
