Transformer Services

Clean Harbors Transformer Services has over two decades of experience in the maintenance, recycling and disposal of transformers and other oil filled electrical equipment. Services can be conducted onsite or at one of our permitted facilities. We offer services from the beginning of the life cycle of the transformer with a vacuum fill, mid-life with oil reclamation and retrofill, and at the end of life of the unit with dismantling and recycling. Our facilities are capable of recycling and disposing of oil filled electrical equipment, scrap electrical equipment, PCB transformers and oil, as well as PCB oil and chemical destruction. Clean Harbors on-site services offer PCB remediation, power and substation transformer dismantling, on-site transformer oil reclamation and emergency response. Clean Harbors comprehensive “Investment Recovery” Program provides our customers with revenue for their non-regulated electrical equipment. This program streamlines customers’ electrical equipment management practices for both soft and hard cost savings.
