Our fleet of more than 50 sophisticated machining tools includes multi-axis CNC lathes, very large horizontal and vertical boring mills, as well as a range of complementary equipment to complete intricate tasks. Able to handle virtually any size job, Craft’s machine shop can turn and bore parts up to 25 feet in diameter, 13 feet high and 15 inches thick. In addition, our lathes can turn 66-inch diameters up to 25 feet in length, and we operate mills with 26 feet of continuous horizontal travel and 11 feet of vertical travel.

Craft Machine Works boasts an extensive list of welding capabilities and machinery for turnkey production. Our weld positioners are rated up to 20 tons, and our electronically controlled plasma arc burning system can flame-cut a 15-inch thick plate of steel or aluminum. Spanning 16 feet in width by 12 feet in height, our stress relieving oven features a 55-foot rail car bottom and is calibrated to NIST with zone-controlling thermocouples.
