Energy recovery
Biogas can be produced from wastewater with high concentrations of biodegradable carbon (BOD). Fermentation processes are stimulated by creating anaerobic conditions in a reactor designed for this purpose (CSTR, UASB or EGSB). Before the biogas produced can be used for energy generation, the following processing steps are necessary.
