Band heaters provide countless solutions for cylindrical surface heating applications. For other cylindrical or non-cylindrical surfaces we recommand cartridge-, circulation-, immersion-, strip-, tubular- or flexible heaters.
Delta-T - Ceramic Band Heaters
Ceramic band heaters are recommended because efficient heat transfer is not affected by irregular surfaces or loose fit. At higher watt densities they can be used in wider increments than other heaters. Ceramic band heaters are manufactured in a full range of standard construction options, dimensions, electrial ratings and complete variations of screw terminals and lead terminations.
Delta-Tube - Mica Band Heaters
This thin profile construction allows high watt densities up to 55 watts per square inch and quick heat transfer from the element to the sheath for efficient operation up to 800 degF sheath temperature. A stainless steel sheath encases a compressed mineral refractory which surrounds a helical or sinuated resistance element. We also offer band heaters up to 200 WSI. Contact us. With SCR or SSR power control output, watt densities can be increased up to 30%. Mica band heaters are economical, thin, efficient heaters up to 800 deg F.

Delta-T - Screw plug/Pipe Plug Immersion Heaters
From 350W to 38,000W. 1", 1.5", 2" and 2.5" NPT pipe plug in brass, steel or stainless steel. Sheath material: copper, steel, stainless steel, Incoloy, Teflon (PTFE) coating available. Terminals can be NEMA 1, moisture resistant or explosion proof. Terminals can be with or without thermostat.
Delta-T - Flanged Immersion Heaters
Flanged Immersion Heaters, both round flange and square flange models are available for applications requiring larger wattages. Flanged heaters are made from tubular heaters or Mighty blade elements brazed or welded into a pipe flange. They are used in large capacity vessels, high pressure applications and are installed by bolting the unit to a matching flange welded to the vessel wall. The flanges are made out of carbon steel or stainless steel. They are rated for 150lbs, 300 lbs or 600 lbs.
Delta-T - Over-the-Side Immersion Heaters
Over-the-side electric immersion heaters are widely used in the metal finishing industry in plating tanks due to their convenience at lesser cost when compared to a Bottom or L-shaped Electric Immersion Heater. The chemical solution in the plating tank doesn`t need to removed to change heaters. Over the side Immersion Heaters are typically used in smaller tanks (or in larger tanks with a steering device for temperature uniformity) with lower temperatures.

Delta-T - Thermostats for Electric Heater
Thermostats or ON / Off controls are relatively simple and economic switches still widely used for switching power for electric heaters. The output will be on or off when the process temperature crosses the set point. This constant crossing of the set point means the temperature is constantly cycling around the set point. This constant cycling around the setpoint will also reduce heater life because full heat is applied whether the process temperature is 5 degrees or 100 degrees below setpoint. ON/Off controls increase thermal fatigue and oxidation rate on heating elements by causing wide temperature swings of the internal heating element. (think of a light bulb turned on and off constantly)
