Small-Size Gas Turbine Operable on Lower Heating Value (LHV) Fuel. Doosan Enerbility offers a product lineup ranging from small to large-sized gas turbines. Doosan Enerbility is participating in the design and  engineering of the main components of SMART, a nuclear reactor jointly developed by South Korea and Saudi Arabia.  We will soon be supplying the SMART reactor components to our customers.

In November 2020, Doosan Enerbility signed a contract to build Korea’s first hydrogen liquefaction plant. Doosan will be handling the EPC work, as well as the operation & maintenance services for 20 years after the plant has been built. The plant, which is to be built on the grounds of Doosan Enerbility’s Changwon headquarters by 2022, will have the capacity to produce 5 tons of liquefied hydrogen daily. Commercial operation is slated to start in 2023 and the liquefied hydrogen will then be supplied to the hydrogen bus charging stations in Changwon. Application of the most optimal technology such as the CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage) and blue hydrogen production is being reviewed for the plant.

The Energy Storage System (ESS) refers to a device that stores energy generated from renewable energy sources or existing power grids into a battery to be discharged for use later on when needed. By applying our technological expertise and that of our overseas subsidiary Doosan GridTech, Doosan Enerbility delivers total technology solutions that include the ESS, DERM-based control system software, as well as EPC and O&M services. In line with the growing trend of renewable energy at home and abroad, we plan to further expand the ESS business, with particular focus on the Australian and US ESS markets which are forecasted to grow rapidly in the coming years.
