EGIS SolarTracker - Solar Tracking System with Heliostat Integration
The solar tracking system, a robust solution developed by Egis, integrates a heliostat mechanism designed for precise astronomical object tracking based on sun-position calculations using Kepler data. It comprises of outdoor and indoor units, operating through a microprocessor-based control system. The system accurately aligns solar panels or reflectors by adjusting azimuth and elevation angles with high precision. Utilizing solid state relays in its 'SolarTracker Pro' variant, it ensures minimal wear and extended motor life through soft-start and stop functionalities. It supports additional features like GPS integration for automatic global positioning alignment, analog input for signal-based optimization, and a data interface for external computer control. The setup includes a DC voltage converter and is compatible with various mechanical and electronic extensions to enhance functionality and durability for large load management. Suitable for use in research centers and observatories, the system is engineered to withstand high wind speeds through its durable aluminum casing, ensuring long-lasting operation.
EGiS SolarTracker - Bi-Axial Sun Tracking System
The SolarTracker XL is an advanced system designed for astronomical tracking of objects in accordance with the sun's position using Keplerian data. This device, operated via a front-sided pushbutton field, automates tracking by calculating sun coordinates and local time without the need for manual clock adjustments between summer and winter transitions. The system allows precise solar tracking with the capability to manually adjust alignment by 0.1° increments. It utilizes semiconductor relays for motor operation, reducing wear and extending the lifespan of mechanical components. The system includes features like indirect tracking using mirror reflections, an analog input for external signal processing, and a PC communication interface for operation via a basic language protocol. Additionally, the SolarTracker XL supports GPS capture for automatic location data entry, and offers dynamic motion control for fine positioning. The azimuth elevation system facilitates comprehensive 360° rotation and elevation adjustments up to 95°, providing robust performance even in high wind conditions.
