vBoost - DC DC Boost Converter for PV-Modules
The original rack mounted 600W vBoost is capable of connecting multiple PV-modules into a single converter. It is designed for high power and a wide input voltage range that accommodates serial connection of standard crystalline FV-modules or paralleled connection of high voltage thin film modules. While it is still available for deployment, the smaller form factors described below are preferred by most installers.
eIQ-Energy - Bi-Directional DC DC Converter for Storage
The bidirectional DC DC converters are high efficiency devices designed primarily for converting low voltage battery packs (48V or 96V) to a voltage matching the DC bus to which it is attached (380Vdc nominal). In high to low mode (buck), the converter uses the DC value of the DC bus to enable conversion, ensuring that there is sufficient power to apply charge to the battery pack. In low to high mode (boost), the same DC bus value signals the need for additional power on the bus and the batteries discharge. The converter is field programmable through the battery management system to assign maximum charge and discharge rates to maximize battery cycle life.
eIQ - 16 kW High Input Voltage Off-Grid Inverters
The elO 16kW off grid inverter was designed for a narrow range, high voltage input and where the inverter is not tied to a grid, but to either an appliance or to an AC distribution panel. The AC output is a pure sine wave with low harmonic distortion and excellent output voltage regulation. The inverter can receive input voltages from 300-420Vdc and converts to 220-240Vac at 50/60 Hz. The output is further refined to be split into two 120Vac circuits (in-phase with each other) and both 220/240Vac and 110/120Vac are simultaneously available. The outputs are designed to operate so that when it is split into two circuits those circuits do not need to be balanced.
