Improves Efficiency by Providing Reliable Data Backup Switching. The drawing illustrates eight Cat5e A/B switches. Each channel is controlled independently via front-panel pushbutton controls with gang commands. For each channel, a COMMON device is connected to the RJ45 COMMON port with access to two other devices connected to the RJ45 A and B ports. There are eight front panel pushbuttons for independent channel switching. Holding a pushbutton for 3 seconds will simultaneously switch channels as a group (Simultaneous Switching).
