Biogas is one of the most used sustainable sources for energy production. It is a gaseous mixture derived from anaerobic digestion and from the decomposition of any organic animal or vegetal matter, such as zootechnical waste and its byproducts. These biomasses are mixed and maintained without oxygen at a mesophilic temperature of 39-42°C.

It has similar features to fossil fuels, so it can be used for heating, kitchen and transport leading to a decrease in the greenhouse gas emissions.
