Silgrain® HQ is a high purity silicon powder with an iron content less than 0.05%. Our Silgrain® HQ quality is produced by performing an additional purification step after our unique Silgrain® process.

Elkem has developed its own production technology for prebaked electrodes. Special raw materials are chosen and electrically calcined, to achieve the best properties. Forming and baking of electrodes involves a process with a much shorter lead time compared to traditional prebaked production. This process also makes it possible to make single electrodes with individual properties, if a customer wants to test this.

ELGRAPH ® recarburisers are carbon additives manufactured at high temperatures from selected raw materials specifically for use as re­carburisers during cast iron and steel pro­duc­ti­on Elkem’s production process, with continuous calcining up to 3000 °C, gives an extremely stable product, where the high performance is constant, vs many other materials in the market (often based on a batch process or sourced graphite).
