ELWA - Flow Heater for Industrial Applications

The ERH 4600 RF flow heaters are designed to meet the rigorous demands of various industrial applications, offering a high degree of adaptability to different process conditions. The heater comprises a welded pressure vessel with electrically powered heating elements housed in protection tubes, ensuring no direct contact with the medium. These heating elements can be replaced without the need to drain the pressure vessel, adding convenience and efficiency to the maintenance process. The design supports precise thermal response and control accuracy, optimizing heat transfer through hydraulic flow around the elements. The surface load of these heaters can be customized according to the medium's viscosity and flow rate, ranging from 0.8 W/cm² for lube oils to 1.4 W/cm² for high flow rate diesel fuels. Safety features include built-in temperature limiters, optional flow switches, and additional sensors and valves. Designed with thermal insulation from rockwool and stainless or galvanised steel covering, they meet industry standards with flanges per DIN EN specifications.

Power-to-Heat

ELWA - Modular Power-to-Heat (P2H) System

ELWA Systems for Energy offers a modular Power-to-Heat (P2H) solution, facilitating efficient energy storage and utilization, primarily aimed at integrating surplus renewable energy sources into the grid. This system effectively converts electrical energy into heat, suitable for integration with renewable resources like wind farms. It features a safety concept for 24/7 automated operation, modular design for high system power, and advanced control systems capable of primary and secondary control power. The P2H system is composed of modular units including a load bank (MLB) capable of a total capacity of 4.7 MW, expandable to higher outputs as needed. This system is adaptable for applications up to 800°C and pressures up to 16 bar. It supports AC networks from 230 to 690 VAC, offering significant cost-efficiencies and technical performance by operating on higher voltages. This technology offers efficient solutions for energy sectors requiring dynamic load profiles and precise energy responses, with integrated maintenance capabilities.

ELWA - Preheater Systems

The KVE series heaters from ELWA are engineered for optimal heat transfer in processes utilizing water or similar media. Based on the proven 4600 WR series, these units are equipped with interchangeable heating elements and high-quality centrifugal pumps that can be tailored to specific applications. The systems include a mounted control cabinet and integrated pumps, offering flexibility in various settings. Designed for gentle yet effective heating, they ensure precise temperature control through perfect hydraulic flow around the heater elements. This adaptability allows for different surface load requirements, such as 3.5 W/cm² for aggressive media or 6.5 W/cm² for potable and cooling water with additives. Safety features include built-in temperature limiters and optional devices like flow switches and PT-100 sensors. Thermal insulation is achieved using rockwool and galvanized or stainless steel covers, ensuring energy efficiency and safety.
