Utilizing biogas as a fuel supply presents significant challenges due to its low-quality nature. Biogas requires specialized and expensive equipment for combustion, often making it an uneconomical option as a renewable fuel supply. Additionally, when biogas methane is purified into RNG, the separated CO2 by-product is typically thermally oxidized on site, resulting in wasted resources. However, ETI’s systems overcome these issues by providing simpler more economical approach that adds value by also offering the integration of CO2 beneficial uses to the end users operations – see more below.

ETI holds two U.S. patents that encompass our innovative biogas purification water wash systems, which include a CO2 removal polishing process.

At ETI, our patented CO2 removal polisher is a low-cost add-on step for our innovative water-based biogas purification systems. Designed to remove some or all of the residual CO2 in the product gas to produce some of the highest levels of methane purity to ensure that a supply of high-quality RNG is achieved.
