PSE is IPSEpro’s Process Simulation Environment. With PSE you create a process model based on components from a library.

PSScript is an add-on IPSEpro module that enables you to access your PSE process calculations from standard Windows scripting languages (such as JavaScript/JScript or VBScript). Using PSScript, you can write scripting routines that you can call directly from PSE, and these scripting routines can access your model inputs and results, and even your model structure (which icons and connections are used). You can also call PSE as an external subroutine from external JavaScript or VBScript script files.

MDK, IPSEpros Model Development Kit, offers all capabilities that are required to define new models translate them into a form that can be used by PSE. MDK consists out of two functional units: the Model Editor, and the Model Compiler. The model editor allows the user to design icons that represent the models and to describe the model behavior mathematically.

Many engineering systems have the structure of a network of discrete components that are connected appropriately. Such a network may, for example, represent a power plant or a network of heat exchangers. It may also represent equipment that is split into smaller elements. Mathematically, these networks are represented by systems of equations. IPSEpro is a powerful environment that allows to set up models of such networks graphically (“flowsheets”) and to solve them.

PSEasy is a module for calculating cycles with fixed cycle layout. Every simulation model that has been set up with IPSEpro-PSE can be transformed into an IPSEpro-PSEasy model. Thus cycle layout can no longer be changed. However, parameter and variable settings can be changed.
