Controllers - Snow Switch Controller
ETI - Automatic Snow and Ice Melting System
The APS-3C Snow Switch when used with compatible sensors automatically controls snow/ice melting heaters, ensuring minimum operating costs. Typical applications include pavement, sidewalk, loading dock, roof, gutter and down spout snow/ice melting. The APS-3C is interchangeable with earlier APS–3 models. The adjustable hold-on timer continues heater operation for up to 10 hours after snow stops to ensure complete melting. The optional RCU–3 Remote Control Unit can be located where system operation can be conveniently observed. It duplicates many of the controls and indicators on the APS-3C front panel. It is used to clear tracked and drifting snow that may not land on a sensor.
ETI - Modular Snow/Ice Heater Control System
The SC–40C Satellite Contactor answers the need for cost-effective modular snow melting heater control. One or more SC–40Cs, when used with an APS–4C Control Panel acting as the master control, allow for modular snow melting system design. There is no limit to the number of SC–40Cs that can be interfaced in a single system. o matter how small or where it’s located.
ETI - Automatic Snow/Ice Melting Control Panel for Electric & Hydronic Applications
The EUR-5A brings the performance, economy and energy efficiency of the industry leading APS–3B to a wide range of commercial snow melting applications requiring electrical panel location. A rich assortment of features optimize EUR-5A performance for its intended applications and environment. The EUR-5A interfaces multiple sensors from the CIT–1, GIT–1, SIT–6E family for flexibility in a wide range of pavement, gutter and downspout deicing applications. This feature is essential for large systems employing common heater switching.
Floor Warming Thermostats
ETI Floorstat - Automatic Radiant Floor Heating Control
The patent pending computerized FWT–3 assures comfort with minimum energy cost by automatically controlling electric radiant floor heaters. The Digital Anticipation feature provides superior temperature regulation when compared to conventional thermostats. The FWT–3 continuously learns how best to control heating to maximize comfort by minimizing temperature variations. The FWT–3 provides a simple analog adjustment for setting the floor temperature with a range of 50° to 95°F (10° to 35°C). Setting the adjustment fully counterclockwise inhibits heating which prevents energy waste by heating unoccupied areas. Status indicators show that power is present and the heaters are operating. The low voltage NEC Class 2 FWT–3 derives its power from the external UL/CSA self-powered relay. The relay is mounted in a switch box installed at a convenient location. Only two wires connect the FWT–3 with the self-powered relay.
