EPRO Gallspach's test transformers are proven over decades and same as all other equipment they offer highest lifetimes of several decades.

Frequency control transmissions, such as those used for tariff switching in ripple control systems, can be disturbed by various sources of interferences, such as compensation systems at the consumer, electronic frequency converters (e.g. at alternative power plants) or with cable networks with high capacities. Interference frequencies attenuate the transmission level in the smart grid and cause failures and incorrect switching in the ripple control. Audio frequency suppressors prevent the unwanted spread of interference frequencies in ripple control systems from the entire medium-voltage grid where the source of interference is located.

Epro specializes in manufacturing toroidal cores, specifically the Type IR, which are primarily used in transformer bushings or switchgears under oil or SF6. The company offers a range of standards and precision classes to meet diverse requirements. These toroidal cores can be produced with two types of outer coverings: a white polyester tape or Hostaphan foil, which provides 3kV insulation when used without an intermediate layer in transformer bushings. Epro accommodates a variety of customer-specific options, such as color-coded connections, stray field compensation windings, and paper insulation. The Type IR cores are available in various sizes up to approximately 800mm in diameter, supporting configurations as single-core CTs or as multi-core CTs with up to six cores. The maximum weight of these cores is around 400kg, making them versatile for different industrial applications.

The TrafoTest system by EPRO represents a significant advancement in the domain of transformer testing as it stands as the only fully automated system approved by PTB Germany. The system's modular architecture comprises a control unit, electronic measurement boxes, and inductive standard transformers, ensuring comprehensive voltage and current measurement capabilities. It is designed to execute the five principal tests as per IEC and IEEE standards, with the flexibility to upgrade into a complete transformer test centre. This flexibility and modularity accommodate tests for both large and small transformers, spanning single and three-phase apparatuses within a singular testing infrastructure. EPRO's extensive use of standard voltage and current transformers highlights its capacity to manage diverse test objects effectively. Detailed specifications and versions, such as TrafoTest Premium, Compact, Mobile, and Coil, are tailored to specific customer requirements, ensuring a precise fit for varied testing needs.
