Batch Biomass Boilers

FARM2000 - High Temperature (HT) Biomass Boilers

FARM2000 High Temperature (HT) boilers are used for heating, hot water and hot air systems by efficient and controlled combustion of biomass. Biomass contain gases which represent half of the calorific value, and which can only be burned and release their energy at high temperatures.

FARM2000 - Single Pass Biomass Boilers

The FARM2000 ECONOMY models are based on the traditional single-pass boiler, but are fitted with a fan and combustion plate to provide: Accurate Control of Water Temperature. Greater fuel tolerance, especially with shorter chimneys. These boilers are ideally suited to smaller heating systems where fuel consumption is not too critical. The fan and combustion plate improve the efficiency over the original simple single-pass design, but the boiler can also be supplied with thermostatically operated air inlets, instead of a fan.

FARM2000 - Big Bale (BB) Biomass Boilers

FARM2000 Big Bale (BB) boilers are of broadly similar design to the HT range, with large combustion chambers and multi-tube heat exchangers for optimum efficiency.

Accumulators & Chimneys

FARM2000 - Accumulators

FARM2000 recommend the use of accumulators, particularly for the larger boilers when low stoking frequencies are required, and when the boiler is remote from the building being heated.

FARM2000 - Chimneys

Boiler efficiency and output is dependent on a well designed chimney. Failure to achieve this results in inefficient combustion, a dirty boiler and possible corrosion. FARM2000 supply stainless steel chimneys with 50mm insulation and we strongly advise not to use insulation below this thickness. Our chimneys can be colour coated to match your building. The chimney should rise vertically from the boiler flue spigot, preferably with no bends or elbows and recommended minimum chimney heights are given in the Installation and Operating Instructions booklet.

Fuels

FARM2000 - Cordwood / Logs Biomass Boilers

FARM2000 boilers burn wood in the form of logs and cordwood. Depending on boiler model, logs and wood sections can even be up to 2m in length. Wood should be cut at least 18 months before use and stored under cover from autumn.

FARM2000 - Dry Cereal Straw Fuel Biomass Boilers

Dry cereal straw in small or big bales, round or rectangular. Burn grey straw not yellow straw. Cereal straw should be weathered for at least a week before baling, and not baled at high density. It burns best if first rained on, then turned and left to dry to max 16%, and stored under cover. Rain washing puts the potash back into the soil. Cereal straw from sandy soil burns better and with less ash than straw from clay soils.

FARM2000 - Linseed / Bean / Rape Straw Biomass Boilers

These are excellent fuels with lower cost than cereal straw, and also have lower ash content. Big and small bales.

FARM2000 - Miscanthus Fuel Biomass Boilers

Excellent fuel, more ‘woody’ than cereal straw and with lower ash content. Big and small bales.
