Fish Guidance Systems Limited products

The HIL system is an advanced LED light-based fish deflection system, primarily intended for fish species that are less sensitive to sound, such as eels.  A number of High Intensity Light systems have already been installed in the UK to provide eel deflection at intakes of Pumping Stations and power stations, and the light out put of the systems are tailored to match the visual pigments of the key species, including European eel, Asian carp and salmonoids, and has been verified by successful independent trails. Present research has also demonstrated their suitability to enhance deflection efficiencies for other species, such as invasive Asian Carp in the USA.
