FIXATOR - Exolift Climbing Aid for Wind Turbine Maintenance
The Exolift climbing aid is a motorized, autonomous system designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of wind turbine maintenance. It assists technicians in the arduous task of ascending and descending turbine ladders by significantly reducing physical exertion, lessening cardiac strain, and facilitating maintenance operations on elevated structures. The device is intelligent and can adjust to the user's movement speed, supporting 80% of their weight to ensure comfort and security. It includes a fixed strap system, making installation on service ladders straightforward, and is typically deployed across entire wind farms or assigned to teams of service technicians. The Exolift is highly effective, with a variable traction force ranging from 40 to 96 kg and a flexible ascent speed of 0 to 24 meters per minute. Its portability and ease of use make it suitable for various stages of wind turbine operations, including assembly, maintenance, and repair. Powered by a 48V - 11.6Ah Lithium Ion battery, the system is engineered for reliability in temperatures from 0°C to +50°C.
