Modular in design, our cold rooms generally have a capacity of 10 to 50 m3, in positive or negative temperature. Tailor-made projects are also possible, such as the FREECOLD cold room at Cotonou airport (Benin), which is capable of cooling 12 metric tons of pineapples every day on over 100 m3. Our solar-powered cold room meets the requirements of different sectors, agri-food, commercial, medical, veterinary, … for storage of fruit or vegetable crops, meat, fish and even frozen products. Between 200 kg and 2.000 kg of food can be cooled daily using the free energy of the Sun! Our cold rooms are SN-T climate class. They have been specially designed to operate in extreme temperature conditions, up to 43 °C.

To preserve milk and juices for a long time, the best solution is pasteurization. Without it, food waste and financial losses are almost inevitable, especially for farmers and transformers without access to the electricity grid. This is why FREECOLD has developed pasteurizers powered 100% by solar energy. Pasteurization requires heat treatment. Our pasteurizers perform this function without involving a solar installation that is too heavy and expensive. Indeed, its power allows it to bring milk or juices to a configurable temperature of up to 95°C without needing too much power. In addition, the solar pasteurizer is easily attached to a FREECOLD milk tank. This pooling of resources makes it possible to limit the surfaces of solar panels and the number of batteries.

The FREECOLD® RSI-180 direct solar refrigerator has a net volume of 155 L and a very good thermal insulation. Its main feature: it is directly connected to a photovoltaic module without additional electronics! This innovative system makes it possible to do without batteries or inverter, costly and with a limited lifespan. The excess energy of the day is transformed and stored, not in batteries, but in a cold accumulator built into the heart of the evaporator: the FREECOLD Ecotainer®. This cold is then slowly diffused in the refrigerator during the night and days without sun. This allows to maintain the quality of the cold in autonomy for 3 to 4 days depending on the ambient temperature.

The FREECOLD® FrigoMobile is a solar-powered street vending cart, the ideal solution for developing a micro-enterprise in rural or peri-urban areas without reliable electricity grid. An actual wheeled refrigerator, it adapts especially to the street vending of fresh or frozen products on markets and tourist places.
