Activated Carbon: The removal of hydrogen sulphide (H2S) from biogas with activated carbon requires a thin water layer in the carbon pore structure to promote the reaction between H2S and the carbon surface. The required relative humidity (RH) is 30%~100%; the optimal relative humidity is 60~70%. For the working is a minimum oxygen concentration 4 x the H2S concentration on molar basis required. The activated charcoal used by GtS is specially developed for H2S removal from biogas.

GtS provides mobile gas treatment in a CSC approved container frame. In the mobile biogas treatment, biogas from a digester is made suitable for utilization of the biogas in a gas engine or boiler installation.

Therefore the reliability of the flare is of great importance. To keep the reliability as high as possible, good maintenance of the installation by qualified people is important.
