GEONICA - Comprehensive Meteorological System for Photovoltaic Solar Power Plants
GEONICA presents the SEMS-PV System, a comprehensive, turnkey solution, with high connectivity with SCADA units, for measuring solar Irradiance, the meteorology and other parameters of interest. The METEODATA datalogger included with the system supports the connection of all the sensors necessary to carry out the following measurements in the plant:
Solar Energy and Meteorology
GEONICA - Solar Spectral Measurement System for the Automatic Calculation
Solar Spectral Measurement System for the automatic calculation in real time, of the Spectral Correction Factors (SCF), to be used for obtaining the adjusted/corrected value of the Performance Ratio PR in PV solar power plants.
Geonica - Solar-Powered Weather Monitoring System
The PresentWeather System continuously determines the presence of fog based on the measurement of Visibility (MOR - Meteorological Optical Range). Additionally, it measures the intensity and type of precipitation (rain, snow, hail, etc.), using specific sensors connected to any of the METEODATA-2000/3000-type remote units produced by GEONICA, which are powered by their own internal battery and a small solar charging panel, thus eliminating the need for any connections to the electrical grid. Its implementation is particularly interesting for knowing the weather at airports, aerodromes, and heliports, where the awareness of the predominant weather conditions is vital for the safety of any aircraft, both when landing and taking-off. Its usage is also very useful for road safety, where the presence of fog and its consequent low visibility, as well as that of strong rains or winds, represents a factor that enormously reduces vehicular traffic safety.
Sensors (Meteo and Hydro) - Wind Speed and Direction
Geonica - Wind Sentry Vane
Wind Sentry Vane (only) with mounting bracket. Range: Wind direction: 0-360º. Accuracy: Wind direction: ± 5º wind direction.
Solar Radiation Sensors (Meteo and Hydro)
Geonica - Second Class Pyranometer
GEO-LP02 is a solar radiation sensor that is applied in most common solar radiation observations. It complies with the Second Class specifications of the ISO 9060 standard and the WMO Guide. GEO-LP02 pyranometer is widely used in (agro-) meteorological applications and for PV system performance monitoring.
Geonica - First Class Solar Radiation Sensor
GEO-SR11 is a high accuracy solar radiation sensor that can be applied in general high accuracy observations. It complies with the "first class" specifications within the latest ISO 9060 and WMO standards. It is the preferred instrument for outdoor PV system performance monitoring in solar energy resource assessment projects, according to the ASTM E2848 standard.
Geonica - First Class Solar Radiation Sensor
GE0-SR12 is a solar radiation sensor that meets and exceeds the ISO-9060 Standard performance mandate for a First Class pyranometer, specific to "solar energy test applications".
Geonica - Secondary Standard Pyranometer With Heater
GEO-SR20 is a solar radiation sensor of the highest category in the ISO 9060 classification system: "secondary standard". GEO-SR20 should be used where highest measurement accuracy is required.
Geonica - Precision Spectral Pyranometer
There are two generally accepted Classification Systems used for Pyranometers. ISO classifies pyra-nometers as a "Secondary Standards", "First Class" or "Second Class" while WMO uses "High Quality", "Good Quality" and "Moderate Quality". The Precision Spectral Pyranometer, Model PSP is classified as a ISO Secondary Standard or WMO High Quality Pyranometer. It comprises a circular multi-junction wire-wound thermopile which has the ability to withstand severe mechanical vibration and shock. Its receiver is coated with Parson`s black lacquer (non-wavelength selective absorption). This instrument is supplied with a pair of removable precision ground and polished hemispheres of Schott optical glass. Both hemispheres are made of clear WG295 glass which is uniformly transparent to energy between 0.285 to 2.8pm.
Geonica - Albedometer
SRA01 albedometer is an instrument that can be used for measurement of the solar albedo. It is composed of two pyranometers, the upper one measuring global solar radiation, the lower one measuring reflected radiation. It complies with the latest ISO and WMO standards.
