SIEMENS/GUASCOR engines have a reputation of excellent quality and reliability and have been in use in all the oceans and continents over the last 35 years. Cogeneration with hot water production probably is the type of cogeneration first put into practice. The so produced hot water can be used as is either as Sanitary Hot Water or in washing, heating or any industrial processes.

In recent years, there has been growing interest in biogas an energy source from biodegradeble product . However, in many agricultural countries, agricultural waste is often the problem of environmental pollution because of presence of high contents of H2S in biogas which is very toxic and corrosive in nature. Biogas is produced by the anaerobic digestion or fermentation of biodegradable materials such as biomass, manure, sewage, municipal waste, green waste, plant material, and crops. Biogas comprises primarily methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2) and small amounts of hydrogen sulfide (H2S), moisture and siloxane. Depending on the origins of the gas and the kind of biomass, there are many different names such as: swamp gas (wet gas), marsh gas (moist gas from plants), digester gas (compressed gas), and landfill gas (including 50% methane, 45% carbon dioxide and 5% other gases).

Biogas, sewage gas and landfill gas always contain water vapour in an unsaturated state. During combustion, the water vapor results in considerable corrosion damages to the gas engines. Malfunctions caused by these damages lead to significant downtimes and high repair costs. Removing the moisture from your biogas, using a biogas dehumidifier, will protect your CHP engine and other equipment from corrosion and minimize long term maintenance costs.

The membrane gas holder is fundamental to the process of anaerobic digestion by ensuring a regular supply of biogas availablity for the rest of the plant to operate consistently and efficiently.

Flame arrestors are passive devices with no moving parts. They prevent the propagation of flame from both the exposed side of the unit to the protected side by the use of wound crimped metal ribbon type flame cell element.   This   Construction   produces   a matrix  of  uniform openings  that  are carefully  constructed  to  quench  the flame by absorbing the heat of the flame. This provides  an  extinguishing  barrier  to theignited vapor mixture.
