GISMA - Electrical Circular Connectors for Harsh Environments

Series 10 electrical circular connectors are engineered to withstand harsh environmental conditions, particularly undersea applications and underwater plug-in systems. These connectors feature a robust metal housing and are equipped with a longitudinally waterproof, vulcanized elastomer insulating body and a patented lip seal, ensuring high standards of functionality and safety. The system connectors, available with titanium housing, have a design life of 25 years. An optional sealing ring enhances long-term performance across various applications. Additionally, the flat thread in the coupling nut allows the connectors to tolerate significant contamination. Main application areas include renewable energy, industrial applications, marine technology, marine research, and offshore industries, utilizing materials such as bronze, stainless steel, and titanium.

The Baureihe 16 series of electrical round connectors meet the US offshore specifications API 16D and 17E, designed for longevity under extreme environmental and operational conditions. Constructed with corrosion-resistant titanium, these highly pressure-resistant connector housings are engineered for long-term use, featuring dry-mateable capability. The connectors are equipped with elastomer insulation technology adapted from the proven Baureihe 10 series, which ensures high reliability with a longitudinally waterproof, vulcanized elastomer insulator that incorporates a patented lip seal. The series is modular, offering both socket and pin insulators for customizable connectors. Moreover, the series is particularly suitable for hose connection technology due to its longitudinal sealing on the connection side. Designed for a service life of 25 years, these system connectors with titanium housings maintain secure locking with a flat thread in the coupling nut, even under conditions of high contamination.
