This series of high efficiency electric infrared heaters emit infrared energy across a broad band of medium to long wavelengths. Such wavelengths are easily absorbed by most products and accomplish predrying, drying, curing, preheating and other process heating tasks. Radplane® industrial infrared heaters offer a high conversion efficiency of electrical power input to usable infrared energy, saving operating costs. Resistive metal infrared heating elements are mounted on high temperature insulation backings and radiate directly at the product for efficient radiation heat transfer. Our infrared heating elements are made of corrugated ribbon foil, expanded metal or sinuated wire (Series 8038), depending on the electrical configuration and energy requirements of your application.

Glenro quartz tube infrared heaters can be designed with medium wave or short wave (T-3) emitters. As with any Glenro Radplane heater design, this series of heaters include energy-efficient radiant heat sources and superior materials of construction. Design flexibility and multiple zoning possibilities make these heaters an excellent fit for demanding heat processing applications; especially when available space is limiting productivity. Glenro heater designs can be easily retrofitted into coating operations, printing presses and other product manufacturing lines.

Series 40 Heater pictured with a Glenro Control System. The heater comes standard with an embedded thermocouple to control the operating temperature of the heating element. A probe port is also illustrated for use with an air temperature thermocouple to monitor the internal cavity temperature of the heater while in operation.

Series 41 Heater features a slotted opening in the shape of a “keyhole” so that a product can be easily positioned inside and outside of the heated cylinder. Larger diameter models have been integrated with spindle type conveyors to transport small parts through the heater.

This heater design includes four short wave emitters with elliptical reflectors to direct the intense radiation at the centerline of the chamber. The heater requires air cooling or water cooling, depending on the design and production use. Some applications demand an improved response time and the intensity of short wave infrared energy, as compared to the standard family of Radround® heaters; like curing small diameter medical tubing. This two pass textile fabric electric infrared predryer was designed to directly replace a traditional, slow-response, ceramic face gas infrared textile fabric predryer. The installation increased line speeds and product revenue. Reduced exhaust air volumes and feedback temperature control improved the overall operating efficiency and reliability of the process.

Impingement dryer designs are common for many web and fabric drying applications. Unfortunately, many of these applications are handicapped by less effective nozzle designs. Electric Infrared & Hot Air Impingement & Conductive Cooling, This system integrated hot air impingement with electric infrared heaters between the nozzles to remove residual solvent from an ink printed on film. The temperature limitation of the film was addressed by a water cooled drum to eliminate any distortion while heating.
