As an independent service provider, we routinely work on any and all major makes of larger bore, 2-stroke and 4-stroke, propulsion, auxiliary, stationary power diesel, gas and dual fuel engines. Performing routine overhauls and troubleshooting and diagnosing diesel engine casualties is what we do every day. We also handle new installations and retrofits of engines.

In the unfortunate event that a crankshaft is condemned and cannot be salvaged via in-place machining, Goltens’ teams are experts at executing crankshaft replacements in a swift, safe and efficient manner. While, hopefully this type of failure is an uncommon occurrence for the customer, recovering from this type of casualty is routine for Goltens. While the technical aspects and logistics associated with replacing a large crankshaft may seem overwhelming, we are regularly called upon to replace crankshafts on smaller auxiliary generators as well as larger main engines and power plant generators. Every aspect of the replacement is carefully planned and undertaken by highly experienced Goltens’ engineers and we can mobilize our teams anywhere in the world in quick order. Minimizing downtime and expense is our focus.
