Generator Bank Retubes Services
Generator bank retubes can be very labor intense and challenging. These jobs can also be critical path to the outage or become so if not managed and planned properly. We have literally replaced hundreds of thousands of generator tubes over the years in a variety of boilers including water tube package boilers, fossil fuel boilers and incinerators. These jobs include generators with headers and handholes, two drum generators from 18 to 60 foot drum centers as well as rolled or welded connections. The art of rolling boiler tubes to the exact tube crush required has been passed down from generation to generation at Helfrich Brothers, so has the unique way of removing the tube stubs from the drum by the use of specialty tooling developed over the years. This system reduces and in most cases eliminates the need for costly and time consuming repairs to the drum and adds to the overall quality of the job.
Superheater Replacements Services
Helfrich Bothers field service group has completed many superheater replacement projects, including partial and whole replacements as well as platen type superheaters and vertical or horizontal hanging serpentine pendant style superheaters. Most superheater jobs are critical path in a boiler outage and require safe efficient rigging plans. Helfrich Brothers has experienced a great deal of success on these jobs for many reasons. Our outage managers understand that critical path jobs, while important in their own respect, cannot affect the schedule of the other work being performed. Our rigging plans are well thought out and designed in a way to ensure the highest level of safety is met while incorporating the work of other trades so that as much work as possible can be taking place at all times.

Waterwall Replacements Services
Whether you are replacing all the furnace walls or simply installing a door panel we can help with fabrication and installation services. Our totally automated panel welding system combined with our state of the art overlay process allows us to fabricate bare or overlaid wall panels and door assemblies. Straight or gang bent panels are no problem and will meet your exact specifications. Our field service group has tackled many water wall replacement jobs as well as roof replacements. Again the key to a successful job is planning and preparation. Waterwall projects require attention to specific details such as a rigging plan, proper layout, proper fit up, and restoring the membrane to original condition.
