Black Silicon Carbide is the product of silicon quartz sand and petroleum coke electrofused at high temperature in an electrical resistance furnace. The grains of Black Silicon Carbide are hexagonal crystals that are extremely hard, sharp, and friable, and have outstanding electrical and thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion.

Black Silicon Carbide Macro Grits are mainly used for cutting and grinding brittle non-metallic materials, such as glass, ceramics, stone, refractory materials, grinding cast iron and some non-ferrous metal parts.

Green Silicon Carbide is of higher purity than black silicon carbide. In addition, to maintaining hardness close to the diamond, it is also excellent in grinding and polishing properties which will not be affected by chemicals.
