PURGIT has the equipment to safely degas pressure vessels and pipelines anywhere in the country. Using an open flare with specially designed tips we can burn vapors from storage tanks, pipelines, rail cars, tank trucks, tank barges, ships, and various other pressure vessels. PURGIT has completed many tank decontamination and conditioning jobs – lists and references available upon request.

PURGIT specializes in large, atmospheric NH3 and LPG tank purging (turn-around).  PURGIT maintains a fleet of equipment – hoses, heaters, pumps, and combustors – designed specifically for taking refrigerated ammonia and propane storage tanks out-of-service. Tanks then can be cleaned/inspected and re-commissioning according to plant procedures.  PURGIT has completed over 100 anhydrous ammonia tank projects (both bullet tanks and refrigerated vessels) and we’re ready to help with your turn around.
