Incremental - Solid Shaft
INHO - Standard Encoder
Series INHO incremental shaft encoder up to 12 mm. Hook up the encoder with the connections as described. Make sure power supply meets specifications. Attach encoder to mounting bracket as shown. Attach shaft using a flexible coupling.
Hohner - Incremental 2.0" Encoder
Clamp encoder to shaft and use torque arm to prevent rotation. Hook up the encoder with the connection as described. Make sure power supply meets specifications
Incremental - Hollow Shaft - Standard
Hohner - Incremental Hollow Shaft Encode
Series 07 incremental hollow shaft encoder up to 12 mm. Mount fixture to the encoder with three self-tapping No. 8 screws and three No. 8 washers. Slide the encoder onto the shaft. With two 1/4-20 screws, tighten the encoder fixture to the motor-frame or machine. Keep clearance between the encoder and motor or housing by bending the fixture arms as required. Tighten the setscrew onto the shaft. Connect the encoder as per wiring specifications. Make sure power supply is within the proper voltage and current rating. Encoder can be mounted with the setscrew on the machine side or on the opposite side for either CW or CCW. See datasheet for CW and CCW directions of the outputs.
Hohner - Incremental Hollow Shaft Encoder
Series 896 incremental hollow shaft encoder up to 16 mm. Clamp encoder to shaft and use torque arm to prevent rotation. Hook up encoder with the connections as described. Make sure power supply meets specification.
Hohner - Incremental 2.0" Blind Hollow Shaft Encoder
Slide encoder onto shaft. To keep encoder from rotating: have a pin to prevent rotation in one of the mounting holes, or a bracket bolted onto the mounting holes, or simply tie wrap the cable. Whatever is done, ensure there is a bit of play between encoder and mounting arrangement to prevent bearing damage. Hook up the encoder with the connections as described. Make sure power supply meets specifications.
Incremental - Hollow Shaft - Special
Hohner - Encoder for Drawworks
Slide encoder onto shaft. To keep encoder from rotating: have a pin to prevent rotation in one of the mounting holes, or a bracket bolted onto the mounting holes, or simply tie wrap the cable. Whatever is done, ensure there is a bit of play between encoder and mounting arrangement to prevent bearing damage. Hook up the encoder with the connections as described. Make sure power supply meets specifications.
Hohner - Encoder with Threaded Shafts for Drawworks
Thread the encoder shaft onto the matching threaded shaft and tighten both ends. Add a bit of copper slip for it not to seize up.
