Horne actively manages work processes to ensure a high level of efficiency. Wasteful and unnecessary activities often drive project costs higher without adding value to or enhancing project deliverables. With a goal of delivering every project on time and within budget we implement and are continuously developing lean and agile processes that will limit the number of process steps, keep down project costs, and still meet or exceed the goals and expectations of our clients.
Energy Services
Horne approaches energy programs as a system, from fuel supply to decommissioning or replacement of equipment, machinery and facilities. Our highly trained engineers are able to address your energy challenges from assessment to installation to continuing service with life cycle assessments (LCA). Our solutions range from focusing on just one component, be it energy use benchmarking, energy efficiency measures, fuel changes, integration of renewable energy technologies or acquisition of renewable energy credits (REC) to addressing the entire system. We are always cognizant of positive and negative impacts on other parts of the energy system as well as on systems that depend on or feed in to the energy system. Among the tools used by Horne in assessing energy systems are power, pressure, flow, temperature and other sensors as appropriate, data loggers, analytical software and energy system models. Our LCA approach is based on use of ISO-14000-series methods and requirements.
