Hycco - Conductive Electrochemically Resistant Bipolar Plates for Fuel Cells

Hycco specializes in the development and manufacture of conductive, electrochemically resistant, and durable fluid separators for use as bipolar plates in fuel cells. These plates are characterized by their lightweight, compact design, and resilience to various corrosive chemical environments. Hycco provides comprehensive support from design and prototyping to production and industrialization, including forming complex channel designs, BPP assembly using an innovative welding technology, and gasketing with a dispensing system for prototyping. The company is equipped with advanced quality testing apparatus to ensure high qualification levels and can perform BPP in-situ testing for up to 2kW HT and LT-PEMFC with full monitoring of key parameters. Hycco's production facilities feature state-of-the-art processing and characterization tools, including a prototype production line capable of yielding 10,000 pieces per year and a pilot line set to achieve 250,000 pieces annually by 2023 to meet the growing demands of the hydrogen market.

Hycco - Fuel Cells (FCs) Technology

Fuel cells (FCs) are electro-chemical devices that convert hydrogen into electricity. For most of them, water is the only byproduct. Among the various fuel cell types that have been developed over the last decades, we are interested in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC), which represent 80% of the total power deployed. This technology is able to deliver enough power to a large variety of applications especially the more demanding such as heavy mobility. This is where HYCCO helps making it more suitable.
