Direct drives are manufactured as air compressors (e.g. in sewage works) or as drives for refrigeration plants or heat pumps, respectively.

IET Energy produces not only the own container plants using mainly MAN gensets, but also containers with provided other gensets. Container plants are produced in sizes of up to 2,000 kW. The manufacturing depth will be elaborated customer specific.

The IET Energy CHP plant control system is used for new gensets as well as for reequipment of exisiting switchboards. All the well-known gas engines (MAN, MWM, Jenbacher, Caterpillar, Perkins…) can be refitted with the IET DM4 gas engine controller (MAN, MWM, Jenbacher, Catapiller, Perkins…) This offers a competitive and efficient solution when reequipping switchboards.

IET CHP gensets can be designed for operation parallel to the grid, but also for island operation and island parallel operation. Especially in exposed areas (Hotels in the mountains) with unsufficient supply safety regarding electrical energy these CHP plants are a competitive alternative to Diesel gensets.

The cogeneration plants  work according to the principle of Combined heat and power (CHP). Using this principle the gasous primary energy carrier (natural gas, liquid gas, biogas,  sewage gas, or special gas) is converted into mechnical energy in a specially designed gas engine.
