Imam Ambiente - Photovoltaic Systems
A photovoltaic system is an electrical system made up of one or more photovoltaic (PV) panels, to convert sunlight into electricity. The system is typically connected to the electricity grid; the produced electricity, already converted to alternating and synchronized current, is injected into the grid.
Imam Ambiente - Vertical or Horizontal Wind Turbines
Vertical or Horizontal Wind Turbines use the kinetic energy of the wind to generate electricity. First kinetic energy is converted into mechanical energy, which is then converted by a generator to electrical energy. The efficiency of wind turbines depends on 3 major factors: wind power, blade aerodynamics and air density. Generator can be connected directly to the rotor winding (Direct drive), or both connected to a gearbox. The generator can be synchronous or asynchronous. Imam Ambiente - Biomass Plant
The vegetable material is produced as a result of the process of photosynthesis, which thanks to the energy of sun can transform simple minerals into complex organic molecules. The plant biomass absorbs CO2 (carbon dioxide) from the atmosphere during its growth, and it returns it during combustion. Therefore, the CO2 balance of these processes is zero, so it does not contribute to the greenhouse effect. Any material that has an organic matrix, like municipal waste, can be defined as biomass. For this reason we prefer to talk about “plant biomass”, limiting its origin to the plant world.
