IMT - Silicon Solar Irradiance Sensor/ PV Reference Cell

IMT Solar is a world leader for both the development and production of silicon irradiance sensors used for solar irradiance measurement. Since 1994, we have manufactured thousands of sensors supporting applications for Photovoltaic (PV) installation monitoring, PV cell research and development, PV IV curve measurement, solar thermal installation monitoring and meteorological stations. Like other IMT equipment, the success of our silicon irradiance sensors is due to our dedication to deliver a product that is cost-effective, reliable, durable and accurate.

Solar Irradiance Sensor

Photovoltaic Reference Cells for PV Monitoring

Our photovoltaic reference cells offer an economical but robust and reliable solution for measuring solar irradiance levels, particularly for monitoring photovoltaic systems. The design of these silicon solar irradiation sensors (Si sensors), which corresponds to that of a photovoltaic module, make these sensors ideally suited as a reference for monitoring photovoltaic systems. The spectral sensitivity, which corresponds to that of photovoltaic modules, and the very similar incident angle modifier, enable a precise analysis of photovoltaic yields using measured values from the sensor.

BigRef - Large Area PV Reference Cell

The BigRef is designed as reference cell for measurement and adjustment of irradiance for sun simulators. The the very precise calibration allows an exact determination of sun simulator irradiance. The BigRef can also be used for the measurement of non-uniformity of light for sun simulators for PV modules. Specially the large area of the sensor element offers a large advantage to reference cell designed as WPVS reference cells, as non-uniformity effects are compensated by the BigRef. Development and Design has been in Cooperation with Solar Cell Calibration Laboratory CalTeC - Solar Cells of Institute for Solar Energy Research Hamelin (ISFH).

Photovoltaic Temperature Sensors

Meteorological Sensor

Wind Sensors

We offer wind-direction and wind-speed indicators available in a number of different designs. The product palette ranges from simple low-cost devices to high-quality and robust sensors with outstanding price-performance ratios, as well as highly accurate precision sensors. All of the models are available with various output signals, such as pulse signals, analog signals (mA or V), resistance signals or RS485 interfaces. Of course we also offer a full range of mounting hardware.

Climasensors

The Climasensor uses the ultrasonic measuring principle and acquires the most important meteorological data with high precision in only one instrument. The Climasensor US measures up to 10 meteorological parameters (wind speed and direction, precipitation, brightness, twilight, ambient temperature, relative humidity and air pressure). A version with integrated magnetic compass calculates the aspecular angle of the sensor to the magnetic north pole, and thus can be used for the automatic north correction of the wind direction, and the brightness.

Other Meteorological Sensor

We offer you sensors for nearly every meteorological measurement parameter. We use only high-quality products from well-known manufacturers. Depending on your requirements, you can select sensors with many different specifications from our wide range of products. We offer everything from simple, inexpensive sensors to highly precise and extremely high quality sensors at very favourable price-performance ratios.

PV I-V Curve Analysers

Model PV-KLA - Photovoltaic I-V Curve Analyser

The PV-KLA photovoltaic I-V curve analyser is a versatile measuring system for recording the current-voltage characteristic of photovoltaic modules and cells in both research and industrial settings. It is flexible enough for both indoor and outdoor use. Several of these devices can be found in the quality assurance departments of German and international photovoltaic module manufacturers, as well as in research institutes. Direct control of the device via a USB interface and the PVK software ensure reliable and convenient operation.
