JD Turbulator - Turbulator Tubular Heat Exchanger Technology
The efficiency of tubular heat exchangers can be improved either by optimizing its geometry and dimensions or by using heat transfer enhancement techniques. A key passive heat transfer technique in tubular heat exchangers is distorting a laminar flow by creating turbulence with the use of turbulator inserts within the tube. These turbulators come in a diverse range of geometries depending on, amongst others, the flow and temperature conditions.
JD Turbulators - Combined spring turbulator
The number one choice for extra efficiency and automatic cleaning of domestic biomass boilers. The combined spring turbulator from JD Turbulators consist of an outer spring responsible for fluepipe cleaning, and an inner part comprising a corrugated twisted tape that enhances heat transfer. Its innovation lies primarily in the corrugated twisted tape design and corresponding production process, developed by JD Turbulators, which allows us to achieve a very short pitch while reducing material usage by up to 300% . This results in improved energy efficiency in comparison with regular twisted tapes and a light weight design. JD Turbulators - Left-right Twisted Turbulator
The best ratio between pressure drop and heat transfer. The conventional turbulator of JD Turbulators is based on the left-right twisted tape design. This turbulator is known to have the best ratio between pressure drop and heat transfer improvement, which makes it the best solution when the amount of pressure drop allowed is limited. This turbulator is often used in gas boilers. We can make a calculation on request.
JD Turbulators - Efficiency+ turbulator
A higher heat transfer-rate when more pressure drop is allowed. The efficiency+ turbulator is based on our proven left-right twisted tape design. Added is a corrugated surface and a shorter pitch, which results in a higher heat transfer-rate when more pressure drop is allowed. Efficiency + turbulators are the best solution for that last extra step of efficiency increase. They are also a valuable tool for creating extra resistance, for example in the case of wide pipe diameters.
JD Turbulators - Corrugated Twisted Tape
This innovative corrugated spiral design and corresponding production process, developed by JD Turbulators, enables to make a short pitch with less material. Hereby we can produce an even shorter pitch while saving on material cost. This results in improved energy efficiency in comparison with regular twisted tapes and a light weight design. . The smooth spiral turbulator is based on a fully 360o twisted tape design with a smooth surface.
