Johnson Matthey SEC is a world leader in catalytic control of emissions from stationary sources. In the most technologically advanced manufacturing facilities around the world, Johnson Matthey produces its extruded and coated catalysts - the heart of every catalytic emission control system. JM scientists and engineers work with customers to optimize system design to achieve performance that ensures that the end-user complies with all clean air emissions standards.

Johnson Matthey SEC benefits from the expertise amassed during 50 years of product development for the Automotive and Heavy Duty Diesel industries. However, treating emissions from stationary sources presents unique challenges due to the large scale and the variety of components that can be found in exhaust from industrial processes and combustion sources. But SEC has a complete portfolio of products to clean air from chemical manufacturing facilities and power generation from natural gas, diesel, heavy fuel oil, lignite coal, waste and biomass.

What we do

SEC delivers air pollution solutions to four global industries:

Power Plants and Gas Turbines (natural gas, biomass and waste-to-energy, coal-fired power plants )
Industrial Processes (steam methane reforming, coffee roasting and food industry, VAM, PTA, cement manufacturing)
Stationary Engines (diesel and gas)
Others (marine, rail)

Our product portfolio includes DeNOx SCR catalyst (coated, extruded honeycomb and plate type), oxidation catalysts and catalytic converters, and diesel particulate filter technology. Johnson Matthey SEC provides excellent customer service and product surveillance to ensure guaranteed performance over the lifetime of our products.
