In the field of decentralized power supply Kuhse provides control technology for CHP and gas engine operated plants from the engineering and commissioning up to maintenance. KUHSE controls and switchgear are utilized in the 10-6000 kW power range for combined heat and power plants on a gas and dual fuel engine basis. The unit controls are configured for island, mains parallel and in special cases also for emergency power operation. Innovative control concepts from KUHSE enable electricity, heat or efficiency controlled plant operation modes and take over the energy and load management.

Diesel gensets are used for many decades for decentralized power supply. The application areas range from single industrial companies up to supply of public grid. In times of increasing fuel costs the integration of renewable energy producers into decentralized power supply provide an economical alternative. Especially photovoltaic systems with reducing system costs have moved into focus. The combination of PV systems with diesel generators creates a PV diesel hybrid system using solar power for the existing power supply system. Fuel costs and the CO2- emission reduced significantly.
