Akdolit HYDRO-CALCIT C G is a highly reactive, carbonatic filter material with a spheroidal grain form and thus especially suitable for pneumatic conveyance and silo feeding. It is used for the filtrative neutralisation of water to achieve calco-carbonic equilibrium through pH adjustment and thus to meet the requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance. In this process, a corrosion-preventing increase of the concentration of the calcium and hydrogen carbonate ions is achieved. Due to the high reactivity, the performance of units operating above capacity and filled with consolidated carbonate can be increased without any expansion. Stabilisation and equilibrium of the pH are obtained very easily.
