Vertical Small Wind Turbines

LuvSide - Convincing Vertical Wind Power

The evolution of our Savonius-style vertical wind turbines, the LS Helix 3.0 impresses with greater power and higher energy efficiency, additionally provided with the vibration decoupler, which means that no  structureborne noise is transmitted, enabling roofmounted installation. Under optimal wind conditions, they produce up to 5.0 kW of electricity. With the available option for self-assembly, the turbines function in turbulent wind conditions as well as at low wind speeds and will be available from LuvSide and selected partners.

LuvSide - Ingeniously Simple, Simply Ingenious

The slim silhouette of the LS Double Helix 1.0 blends into its surroundings in a minimalist way. With its low weight, it can be installed on a pole or on a robust roof. The LS Double Helix 1.0 is our turbine with the most operating hours worldwide. The new design is the logical development of the classic Savonius idea, which was introduced in 1924 by the Finnish inventor Sigurd Savonius. In our design, the two main blades have been supplemented by two new slats to close gaps in the wind window and increase the torque. Thanks to the helix structure, the wind always hits the same feed surface, no matter which direction it comes from. The slim and compact silhouette of our LS Double Helix 1.0 blends into its surroundings in a minimalist way without being overlooked. With a weight of 470 kg, the turbine can be installed on a mast or on a robust roof. The LS Double Helix 1.0 is primarily designed for off-grid use.

LuvSide - Off-Grid Turbine

Suitable for the maritime sector, but also for flat roofs of garages and houses. The off-grid LS Double Helix 0.5 Marina charges 48 V batteries with absolute silence. The LS Double Helix 0.5 Marina was primarily developed for the maritime sector, for example to supply power to houseboats and harbor facilities. Of course, our smallest Savonius blade can also be mounted on the flat roofs of garages or houses. This off-grid turbine charges 48V batteries to close the natural gaps in photovoltaic systems, among other things. Thanks to the Savonius principle, the four-blade turbine starts moving at a low wind speed of 3 m/s (10 km/h) and starts producing electricity (DC) silently and reliably.

Horizontal Small Wind Turbine

LuvSide - Turbine with Horizontal Axis

The LS HuraKan 8.0 turbine with horizontal axis is not slowed down or switched off at high wind speeds, but continues to run at full load in the most attractive wind phase. In Mayan mythology, Hurakan is the god of wind and storms. The innovative features of the LuvSide LS HuraKan 8.0 ensure efficient and robust operation even in phases of strong winds or storms. The flexible blade suspension reacts in the overload range, changes the angle of attack and thus the angle of attack and reduces the diameter of the rotor. Three gas struts control the position of the blades so that the turbine runs constantly at nominal power. This achieves what many power plants in the small wind sector are unable to do: The horizontal axis LuvSide turbine is not braked or disengaged at high wind speeds, but continues to run at full load during the most attractive wind phase.

Solar Power & Wind Power

LuvSide - Sun & Wind Power

Our WindSun modules combine the best of renewable resources: solar energy and wind power. This advanced combination generates a nominal output of up to 28 kW and reduces dependency on fossil fuels at a very good price-performance ratio. The modules are suitable for a wide range of applications in both urban and rural areas. In urban areas, our WindSun modules can be used as carports or to provide shade in public parks, for example. With a total height of around 15 meters, they are also accepted in cities. Due to their small dimensions, the system does not require a complex planning permission procedure in most countries. Our WindSun modules are ready for use after just three to six months and can be installed quickly and easily without a ground-sealing foundation.
