The MELsorb products have been designed for use as high temperature carbon dioxide sorbents. They can also be used for sorption of other materials or as supports for base catalysed reactions. We offer a range of pure lithium zirconates, as well as lithium zirconates doped with a range of promoters to alter the kinetics and optimum activity range.

Luxfer MEL Technologies offer a range of Zirconium Oxides / Hydroxides in their undoped and doped forms, which can modify the nature of catalyst supports in respect of surface area stability, porosity, surface acidity / basicity and crystallinity. These are used in a wide range of applications from Petrochemicals, Biomass Converion, Biofuels to Refining applications such as Isomerisation, Alkylation, Reforming, Oxidation, Amination, and, Hydrogenation.
