The Marland One-Way CEBMAG clutch is a unique combination of a holding brake, a speed limiting brake and a overrunning clutch that provides protection to kiln drives in emergency shut down situations. The CEBMAG backstop is primarily designed for installations in kiln emergency drive systems in conjunction with the Marland CECON clutch. The CEBMAG backstop allows an auxiliary drive to run the kiln at slow speed in the forward direction, while providing automatic protection to prevent the kiln from reversing and additionally provides “on demand” controlled reversing.

Automatic freewheel clutches are used in conjunction with a double engagement gear coupling. They can be produced in close coupled or spacer design to suit. The clutch coupling must be stopped to check internal lube oil on a scheduled basis. If space is available, the recommended choice is a Marland CECON clutch with full oil system for non-stop operation.

The CSK model freewheel is a sprag type clutch integrated into a 6200 series ball bearing (except sizes 8 and 40). It provides you with a one way clutch, and eliminates the need for a ball bearing. It gives a high degree of freewheeling accuracy while utilizing a minimum of space. The CSK model freewheels can be used in backstop, overrunning or indexing applications. The CSK model freewheels are available with bores to 40mm (1.57`) and torque ratings to 384 lb. ft. They are supplied filled with grease and are maintenance free.
