MCG’s products form a dynamic and natively integrated Energy Software Suite with the tools to thrive in wholesale and retail energy markets. Our applications can be used individually or together. Native integration enables MCG applications to communicate with each other out of the box, greatly reducing cost and risk of integration for a comprehensive solution. MCG customers can add new MCG applications to enhance their existing MCG solutions with little to no cost to implement. MCG specializes in hosted solutions in MCG’s NIST 800-53 Mod level compliant private cloud, which is included in annual third-party SOC and NIST auditing. MCG maintains its systems and hardware, enabling customers to fully focus on their business.

MCG’s Paragon Energy Risk Manager System (ERM) provides a fully integrated trading, credit, and market risk management solution for complex, multi-commodity energy companies. ERM manages the entire risk management process throughout the transaction life cycle including: counterparty onboarding and scoring, trade limits, margining agreements, trade capture, scheduling, MtM, accounting, and credit analysis. It provides a consistent approach to market and credit risk for ensuring compliance with credit and market exposure policies and limits. The system’s highly configurable reporting and workflow functionality is easily managed by business analysts. ERM combines state of the art technology with a rich feature set to deliver the most powerful ETRM system available.

MCG’s Energy Accounting System (EAS) tracks and manages time series data types, such as load, imbalance, contract, etc., and tracks a meter’s data sources to generate an official profile based on the best available data. EAS’s validation engine validates meter data across profiles or intervals to manage data quality issues (bad reads, stuck meters, dated values, etc.) and provides an interface to the ISO markets for MDMA function.
